After an expedition to Antarctica in 2005, Robyn then turned her attention to the other end of the planet and skied to the North Pole, becoming the first South African to reach both the North and South Pole. Later that year, she set up White Desert with her husband Patrick, a fellow polar explorer and now divides her time between London, Cape Town and Antarctica. The business is the perfect way to combine her marketing and management acumen with her experience of the polar regions. Affable, energetic and with organisational skills to put soldier ants to shame, Robyn has a passion for business and all things adventurous.
